Students may visit Nurse Sabrina between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM daily.

At Royal Palm Academy, the health and safety of our students are our top priorities. To minimize the spread of illness and ensure a healthy learning environment, we have implemented a comprehensive illness policy. A child may return to school under the following conditions:

• The child has been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
• Any fever accompanied by a new rash has been evaluated and cleared by the child’s healthcare provider, and the fever has resolved.
• Vomiting has ceased overnight, and the child can hold down food and liquids.
• Diarrhea has improved for at least 24 hours.
• Respiratory virus symptoms have improved for at least 24 hours.

We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students at Royal Palm Academy, especially those with severe allergies. As part of our Allergy and Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan, we require a completed form that must be signed by both you and your child’s physician. This form includes crucial information such as the prescribed dose of epinephrine and any other medications, like antihistamines (e.g., Benadryl), that need to be administered in case of an allergic reaction. On the back of the form, there is space for the physician to provide additional instructions, such as whether Benadryl should be administered first for mild symptoms, or any other specific guidelines they wish us to follow. Please ensure this form is filled out and returned promptly to help us effectively manage your child’s allergy needs and respond swiftly in an emergency. Thank you for your cooperation!
