At Royal Palm Academy, our library program plays a pivotal role in nurturing a love for reading and supporting academic growth. Students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade participate in library classes once a week, where they explore a diverse selection of books and learn about the joy of reading. Each student has the opportunity to check out library books weekly, allowing them to delve into stories that spark their imagination and curiosity. Our library is a vibrant space where students can discover new worlds and develop their reading skills in a supportive environment.

To further cultivate a passion for reading, we host a book fair twice a year. These events provide students and families with access to a wide range of books and encourage the excitement of selecting new reading material. The book fair not only promotes literacy but also fosters a community spirit around the shared enjoyment of literature. Through our library program, we aim to inspire students to become avid readers and lifelong learners, preparing them for a future where they value knowledge and exploration.

Empowering Future Innovators Through Technology

As technology rapidly evolves, it's crucial for our students to understand its benefits, potential impacts, and how to use it safely. At Royal Palm Academy, our technology program extends beyond basic keyboarding and laptop use. Students gain foundational skills in programming, enabling them to adapt to and embrace new technologies. Young learners engage in creative problem-solving and teamwork through small engineering projects, while they also enhance their computer skills with coding and familiarization with various programs, including Microsoft Office.

By third grade, students receive a personal email address that accompanies them throughout their schooling, fostering good digital citizenship and responsible online behavior. In the Exploratorium program, older students tackle larger-scale projects in robotics, game design, solar power, 3-D coding for 3-D printing, and engineering. These experiences equip them with the skills necessary for success beyond high school. At Royal Palm Academy, our graduates are not only tech-savvy but also confident in their ability to achieve their goals.

At Royal Palm Academy, our Physical Education program is designed to foster a lifelong appreciation for health and wellness while promoting teamwork and physical fitness. As students advance through the grades, our Physical Education program becomes more comprehensive, incorporating more complex skills and fitness concepts. We focus on developing students' understanding of the benefits of physical activity, encouraging them to lead healthy, active lifestyles. Additionally, we emphasize the importance of sportsmanship and respect for others, both on and off the field.
