Safety and Security at Royal Palm Academy
Our goal is to be "The Safest School in America"
At Royal Palm Academy, the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff are our highest priorities. We maintain a comprehensive security presence on campus, with armed security officers stationed from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM daily and during all major school events in the evenings. Our close relationship with the Collier County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) ensures that CCSO deputies frequently patrol both on and near our campus, providing an additional layer of protection. The funds raised from our 2023 Gala were specifically allocated to enhance our safety measures, allowing us to provide specialized training for all faculty and staff, led by retired FBI agent Rob Chadwick from Holdfast Security Group. This training emphasized situational awareness and preparedness, equipping our team with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a secure environment.
We currently utilize perimeter fencing, armed security, and security cameras to protect our campus. As part of our ongoing efforts to make security our #1 priority, we are phasing in the use of physical barriers, upgraded security cameras, automated vehicle identification at our gate, and the Raptor system for guest screening. Additionally, we routinely conduct emergency preparedness drills and ensure that our classrooms are equipped with necessary physical security measures. Our commitment to these phased improvements is driven by our dedication to protecting our most precious children, ensuring that their safety remains our foremost concern throughout the school day.
